Volunteer Recognition Celebration Fort Myers Beach

Town Of Fort Myers Beach Volunteer Appreciation Picnic honored all Volunteer’s May 4, 2013 at Bay Oaks Recreational Campus. The event was a day filled with a large variety of activities.

Flash Fun Photo Booth participated in the fun filled day with our colorful props and instant photo’s. Upon arrival volunteer’s were greeted with local gifts and a wrist band for open pool swimming.

The games inside and outside included Corn Hole, Kan Jam, Ladder Golf, Horseshoes, Bocce and Beach Jeopardy. A visit from Turkleberry The Clown provided face painting and animal balloons.

Lunch was catered by Rib City with a delicious selection of Ribs, BBQ Chicken, Hot Dogs and many side dishes and deserts.

The Town of Fort Myers Beach Mayor Alan Mandel and Town Manager Terry Stewart were in attendance with their families. They both showed appreciation and gratitude for work done by all.

Thank you flyer’s were distributed along with the catch phrase for this occasion. “Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”
